The symposium was opened by Dr. Stevica Aleksić, Director of the Institute and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Radoslav Cerović, Assistant Minister, Ministry of Science and Technological Development, Dr. Milan M. Petrović, State Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Republic of Serbia, prof. Dr. Martin Waehner, Chairmen of the international scientific committee.
Scientific and research organizations – participants in the work of the symposium: AGRICULTURAL FACULTIES BELGRADE, NOVI SAD AND PRISTINA, FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE, SCIENTIFIC INSTITUTES OF VETERINARY MEDICINE FROM BELGRADE AND NOVI SAD, INSTITUTE OF FORAGE PLANTS, KRUSEVAC, FACULTY OF AGRONOMY, CAČAK, FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY, NOVI SAD, SCIENTIFIC INSTITUTE OF CROPS AND VEGETABLES, NEW SAD, etc. The works of scientists and researchers from 16 countries in Europe and the world were selected and presented – GERMANY, ITALY, POLAND, SLOVAKIA, BULGARIA, EGYPT, SLOVENIA, CROATIA, HUNGARY, LITHUANIA, ROMANIA, MACEDONIA, ALBANIA, MONTENEGRO, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, CHINA, INDONESIA.
During the symposium, in three working days, a total of 105 papers were presented, 62 by local authors and 53 by foreign authors, in 6 sections, where the papers were presented orally and in poster sections.
The symposium presented the latest knowledge and achievements in the field of new biotechnologies in genetics, selection, reproduction, physiology, nutrition, production of animal feed, technology of animal products and animal health care; the previous cooperation was strengthened and new contacts established with individuals and institutions in the field of animal husbandry, as well as an agreement on a joint application for the SEE-ERA.NET project.
