The symposium was opened by prof. prof. Dr. Martin Waehner, Chairman of the International Scientific Committee, Dr. Milan M. Petrović, Director of the Institute for Animal Husbandry and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Violeta Anđelković, President of the Steering Board of the Institute for Animal Husbandry and Dr. Saša Stojanović, Assistant Minister for Technological Development and Technology Transfer and Innovation System of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
The international scientific committee of the symposium comprised 30 members, of which 19 were from abroad (15 countries). Over 40 foreign participants (from 17 countries – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary, Macedonia, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Croatia, Spain, Switzerland took part in the work of the symposium, as well as 40 domestic participants from renowned scientific-research and educational institutions in Serbia (Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade-Zemun, Faculties of Agriculture in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Čačak, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Belgrade, Scientific Institutes for Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade and Novi Sad , Maize Research Institute “Zemun Polje”, Zemun Polje, Institute of Forage Plants, Kruševac). A total of 77 papers were presented, 40 oral papers in different sections and 37 papers in the poster section. 26 works of participants from abroad and 14 works of domestic authors were presented orally, and in three poster sections, 11 contrivutions of participants from abroad and 26 by domestic authors were presented.
