The paper “Energy Efficiency and Economic Sustainability in Pasture-Based Livestock” was presented at the AGROSYM 2026, 6–9. october 2026, international scientific symposium, held on Jahorina Mountain.
The paper explores opportunities to reduce energy consumption, production costs and environmental impacts through improved pasture management. Combining scientific knowledge, modern technologies and the efficient use of natural resources can contribute to more energy-efficient and economically sustainable livestock production.
The research was supported through the Erasmus+ project SMART STEP – “Climate-Smart Steps in Grassland Management and Improvement”, in which the Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade–Zemun, participates as a partner. The project aims to advance knowledge and practices for climate-smart grassland management, conservation and improvement.
