Laboratory of the Biogas Production Research
Laboratory of biogas production research was formed and research in this area began thanks to the help of Japan under the Science and Technology Cooperation on Global Issues – Dispatch of Science and Technology Researchers. Under the program, during 2011-2013, the project of international cooperation of the Institute with Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) entitled “Biomass energy utilizing livestock and agriculture waste” was realized. With the help of the Japanese government a collaboration with Japanese researchers was established, the Institute has formed a new laboratory and common research of the production of biogas from by-products of livestock production initiated. The project was led by Prof. Dr. Kazutaka Umetsu from the Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Obihiro, Japan. Project author and leader of the research team from Serbia was Dr. Miloš Lukić.
Laboratory has experimental models/digesters for continuous and batch test production of biogas.
