In the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”, on May 11th, 2024, a formal program was held on the occasion of the opening of the Innovation Incubator of the Faculty of Biology (INOBIOM) called START UP STAND UP.
At this event, Dr. Violeta Mandić and Dr. Tanja Keškić from the Institute for Animal Husbandry participated in a panel discussion, where they presented the Institute’s potential and scientific research capacities. The importance of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary cooperation in the fields of biotechnology, including animal husbandry, biology, chemistry, veterinary medicine and agricultural production management, is emphasized.
During the discussion, the research rounded production cycle “from field to fork” was highlighted as one of the important potentials of the Institute for Animal Husbandry. This includes research and experiments that are carried out in the so-called outdoor laboratories such as experimental fields, farms and slaughterhouses, but also testing the safety and quality of food,
feed, meat and animal products in an accredited laboratory. As part of the program, the Institute for Animal Husbandry presented its capacities for the improvement of scientific research projects and their practical application, which significantly contributes to the development and improvement of agricultural production and biotechnological research in Serbia.
