13th International Symposium “Modern Trend in Livestock Production, 6 – 8 October 2021, Belgrade, Serbia

The symposium was opened by Dr. Čedomir Radović, Director of the Institute for Animal Husbandry and President of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Marina Soković, Assistant Minister of Science, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and Prof. Dr. Giacomo Biagi, Department of Veterinary Medical Science, University of Bologna, Italy and President of the International Scientific Committee.

The symposium was closed by Dr. Čedomir Radović, Director of the Institute for Animal Husbandry and President of the Organizing Committee and Senad Mahmutović, State Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia.

The International Scientific Committee of the Symposium was comprised 53 members, of which 23 were from abroad (17 countries). A total of 24 foreign participants took part in the symposium (from 17 countries – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Turkey, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ukraine), as well as 31 domestic participants from renowned scientific and research institutions in Serbia (Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade-Zemun, Faculties of Agriculture in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Čačak, Veterinary Faculty, Belgrade, Scientific Institutes for Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade and Novi Sad , Maize Research Institute “Zemun Polje”, Zemun Polje, Institute for Forage Crops, Kruševac). A total of 55 papers have presented, 31 orally of which 15 papers by foreign participants and 16 by domestic authors, while 24 papers have presented within the three poster sections (10 papers from foreign participants and 14 by domestic authors). All reported papers have been reviewed and published in electronic form in the Proceedings of the 13th International Symposium “Modern Trends in Livestock Production” (ISBN 978-86-82431-77-0, COBISS.SR-ID 46411785, National Library of Serbia, Belgrade, www.istocar.bg.ac.rs).

The symposium was opened by Dr. Milan P. Petrović, President of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Dr. Giacomo Biagi, President of the International Scientific Committee, Dr. Čedomir Radović, Director of the Institute for Animal Husbandry, and Mr. Dragan Satarić, Advisor of Sector for Technological Development and Transfer of Technologies and Innovation System of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.

The International Scientific Committee of the Symposium was comprised 50 members, of which 23 were from abroad (17 countries). More than 40 foreign participants took part in the symposium (from 20 countries – Argentina, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Philippines, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Spain, Switzerland, and Ukraine), as well as about 40 domestic participants from renowned scientific and research institutions in Serbia (Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade-Zemun, Faculties of Agriculture in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Čačak, Veterinary Faculty, Belgrade, Scientific Institutes for Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade and Novi Sad , Maize Research Institute “Zemun Polje”, Zemun Polje, Institute for Forage Crops, Kruševac). A total of 73 papers were presented, 32 orally of which 19 papers by foreign participants and 13 by domestic authors, while 41 papers were presented within the three poster sections (17 papers from foreign participants and 24 by domestic authors). All reported papers have been reviewed and published in electronic form in the Proceedings of the 12th International Symposium “Modern Trends in Livestock Production” (ISBN 978-86-82431-76-3, COBISS.SR-ID 279920908, National Library of Serbia, Belgrade, www.istocar.bg.ac.rs).

The Congress was opened by Dr. Milan M. Petrović, Director of the Institute and President of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Dr. Branko Bugarski, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and Prof. Dr. Martin Waehner, President of the International Committee.

International Scientific Committee of the Congress comprised 34 members, of which 22 were from abroad (17 countries). The Congress brought together over 100 participants from Serbia and over 20 countries – Brazil, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Denmark, Egypt, Philippines, France, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Macedonia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia, USA , Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey. A total of 88 papers were presented, 50 papers orally within different sections and 38 papers within poster section. Total of 23 papers of foreign participants and 27 papers by domestic authors were presented orally, and within three poster sessions, 6 works of participants from abroad and 32 work of domestic authors. All submitted papers were peer-reviewed and published in electronic form in the Proceedings of the 4th International Congress “New Perspectives and Challenges of Sustainable Livestock Production” (ISBN 978-86-82431-71-8, COBISS.SR ID 201594700, National Library of Serbia, Belgrade, www.istocar.bg.ac.rs), a total of 821 pages.

10th International Symposium ” Modern Trends in Livestock Production”, 2nd – 4th October 2013, Belgrade, Serbia

10th International Symposium ” Modern Trends in Livestock Production”, wаs held in Belgrade from October 2nd to 4th, 2013, organized by the Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade- Zemun. The official language of the symposium was English. The symposium was attended by over 200 participants from home and abroad. A total of 132 papers were presented, 41 papers orally in different sections and 91 work in the poster sessions. All submitted papers were peer-reviewed and published in electronic form in the Proceedings of the 10th International Symposium “Modern Trends in Livestock Production” (ISBN 978-86-82431-69-5, COBISS.SR-ID 201394700, National Library of Serbia, Belgrade, www. istocar.bg.ac.rs).

The aim of the congress is to exchange new information, scientific research results and a comparison with international research in terms of scientific achievements, application of results in practice, cooperation with similar research institutions, new biotechnologies in genetics and breeding, nutrition, physiology, reproduction (gene mapping, new products, drugs, enzymes, hormones, environmental protection, quality products, animal welfare, etc..).
Traditional International Congress included the following topics: breeding system of domestic animals, production technology and quality of products, livestock welfare and health care and alternative livestock production.
The Congress was opened by Dr. Milos Lukic, director of the Institute and President of the organizing committee, prof. Dr. Nada Dragovic, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education and Science, Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr. Martin Waehner, president of the International Scientific Committee.
