10th International Symposium ” Modern Trends in Livestock Production”, 2nd – 4th October 2013, Belgrade, Serbia
10th International Symposium ” Modern Trends in Livestock Production”, wаs held in Belgrade from October 2nd to 4th, 2013, organized by the Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade- Zemun. The official language of the symposium was English. The symposium was attended by over 200 participants from home and abroad. A total of 132 papers were presented, 41 papers orally in different sections and 91 work in the poster sessions. All submitted papers were peer-reviewed and published in electronic form in the Proceedings of the 10th International Symposium “Modern Trends in Livestock Production” (ISBN 978-86-82431-69-5, COBISS.SR-ID 201394700, National Library of Serbia, Belgrade, www. istocar.bg.ac.rs).
This symposium was marked by the presence of prominent international scientists from Europe, Africa and Asia. On the occasion of a significant anniversary of the Symposium, International Scientific Committee, the Organizing Committee of the symposium, organizer Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade, awarded 10 colleagues, most deserving individuals, our fellow researchers. The awards were given for outstanding scientific results and contribution to the organization of international symposiums to 10 scientists from 7 countries: from Serbia (Dr. Ratko Lazarević, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad; Dr. Miroslav Žujović i Dr. Zlatica Pavlovski, Institute for Animal Husbandry Belgrade), Germany (Prof. Dr. Martin Waehner, Anhalt Faculty of Applied Sciences, Bernburg) Egypt (Prof. Dr. Mohamed Kenawi, Minia University), Bulgaria (Dr. Lazar Kozelov, Institute of Animal Science, Kostinbrod and Prof. Dr. Elena Kistanova, Institute of Biology and Immunology of Reproduction, Sofia), Italy (Prof. Dr. Giacomo Biagi, University of Bologna), Lithuania (Prof. Dr. Vigilijus Jukna, Lithuanian Health Science University, Veterinary Academy), and Poland (Prof. Dr. Wladyslaw Migdal, University of Agriculture, Krakow).
