The Symposium  was opened by Dr. Stevica Aleksic, Director of the Institute and President of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Radoslav Cerovic, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Science and Technological Development, Dr. Milan M. Petrovic, State Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr. Martin Waehner, president of the International Scientific Committee.

Scientific research organizations – participants in the Symposium: FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE BELGRADE, NOVI SAD AND PRISTINA, FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE, VETERINARY INSTITUTE IN BELGRADE AND NOVI SAD, INSTITUTE FOR FORAGE CROPS, KRUSEVAC, FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE, ČAČAK, FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY, NOVI SAD , INSTITUTE OF FIELD AND VEGETABLE CROPS, NOVI SAD, etc.. Papers of scientists and researchers from 16 countries of Europe and the world were selected and presented – GERMANY, ITALY, POLAND, SLOVAKIA, BULGARIA, EGYPT, SLOVENIA, CROATIA, HUNGARY, LITHUANIA, ROMANIA, MACEDONIA, ALBANIA, MONTENEGRO, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, JAPAN, CHINA, INDONESIA, etc.
During the course of the symposium, in three days, a total of 105 paperswere presented, 62 papers by domestic authorsand53 by foreign, in 6sections, where the works are presented in the oral and poster sessions.
At the symposium, the latest findings and developments in the field of new biotechnology in genetics, breeding, reproduction, physiology, nutrition, animal food, animal products and technology, animal health protectionwere presented; the already existing cooperation with research institutions and individuals strengthenedand new contacts establishedwith individuals and institutions in the field of animal husbandry and an agreement on the joint application project SEE-ERA.NET.
