We continue our mission!
On October 21, 2025, we visited Kruševac, where another workshop dedicated to the preservation of the Pirot Pramenka – the most endangered sheep breed in Serbia – was held at the Center for Professional Development.
In a constructive discussion and exchange of ideas with local livestock farmers, breeders, and experts, we presented the results of the project “Characterization of the Pirot Pramenka – the most endangered sheep breed in Serbia, aimed at ensuring its survival” and discussed the steps needed to secure its preservation and future.
We extend our gratitude to our colleagues from the regional breeding organization “Rasina Selekt” for their excellent organization and warm hospitality.
As a reminder, the project is jointly implemented by the Institute for Animal Husbandry and the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, an institute of national importance for the Republic of Serbia, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
