On September 16, 2023., the Institute for Animal Husbandry has become a member of the European Network of Gene Banks for Animal Genetic Resources (EUGENA). The gene bank of the Institute for Animal Husbandry currently consists of 1109 samples from four different animal species.
The inclusion of the gene bank of the Institute for Animal Husbandry in the EUGENA network contributes to the preservation of animal genetic resources and genetic diversity for future generations.
