Dr Violeta Mandić, Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Animal Husbandry, held a professional lecture on 8 June 2026 for the employees and associates of the Rural Development Agency of the Municipality of Inđija.
The lecture focused on the importance of semi-natural grasslands for sustainable agricultural production, biodiversity conservation, and the mitigation of climate change impacts, as well as on modern practices that contribute to preserving their productivity. 🌾
The international Erasmus+ project SMART STEP – Climate-Smart Steps in Grassland Management was also presented. The Institute for Animal Husbandry participates in this project as a partner. The project is focused on developing innovative educational content and strengthening the capacities of experts to apply sustainable and climate-responsible solutions in grassland management.
